POLLOCK-KRASNER FOUNDATION GRANT 2019
WILL HOLUB AWARDED POLLOCK-KRASNER FOUNDATION GRANT
Old Lyme, CT - April 24, 2019 - Will Holub has been awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant during its 2018-2019 grant cycle. The Foundation awarded $3,168,000 to 12 not-for-profit organizations and 111 national and international artists from 18 states, Puerto Rico and 17 countries. Selected by a distinguished committee of art professionals because of the exceptional quality of their work and the extent of their artistic achievement, these artists from around the globe will use their grants to create new work, offset living expenses, and prepare for exhibitions.
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation was established in 1985 through the generosity of Lee Krasner, a leading abstraction expressionist painter and spouse of Jackson Pollock. Based in New York and operating internationally, the Foundation’s grants enable artists to advance their practice.
Will Holub, the only Connecticut-based artist to receive a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant in this cycle, is also a recipient of a 2019 Connecticut Office of the Arts Artist Fellowship grant. He lives and works in Old Lyme, CT.
